Cynthia Roberts is a visual artist based in upstate New York and Detroit. Roberts is represented by the Bromfield Gallery in Boston, where she is having a solo show in November of 2022. Roberts is a laureate of the Regards Croisés//Criss Cross: NY//Le Havre residency program and production grant, with support of the French Institute; she was an Artist in Residence in the City of Le Havre, France for the fall of 2012. In 2019, Roberts was an Artist in Residence at the Tortuga Escondida International in Akumal, Mexico. In the fall of 2020 she exhibited The Akumal Papers in solo show at the Spencer Presentation Gallery, at Endicott College’s Walter J. Manninen Center for the Arts, and was an Artist in Residence at Triangle Arts’ Governors Island artist residency in New York City in October of 2020. She received her MFA in Painting at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and BA in English at Brown University in Providence, RI.
